Tommy was the best rock-based guitarist who ever lived. He was a contemporary of Jimi (who was brilliant--don't get me wrong). Tommy could play anything. Listen the solo on Dreamer. The best rock solo ever.
Submitted by Anonimous
In this Rainbow gig in Munich he did some great job, no doubt about that. But check out the video called Deep Purple - Ritchie Blackmore Guitar Solos (Live), here on youtube. I think that comparing to the old, good Rainbow stuff, those solos sound... let's say, not quite enjoyable.
Submitted by Anonimous
A Genesis-esque ending. How cool!:D

Are you sure that it's Jimmy Bain on bass? Isn't it Bob Daisley?

Submitted by Anonimous
I dont know bout Ritchie being high. I know that most of the bands back in the 70's must of been lol. But Ritchie comes across as a completly focused individual, the no nonense type. I cant see him floating around with his head in the clouds,.
Submitted by Anonimous

Submitted by Anonimous
Blackmore great as ever... But don't get me wrong, it may be my mistake, but i think, that this is one of the first gigs wher Bob Daisley played on bass and David Stone on keyboards.

Most of the time credited by Henri VIII of England, but nobody's sure.

Dio + Blackmore ftw!
Submitted by Anonimous
On the live set How The West Was Won, Page finger-picks some classical melody but its sloppy and tbh sounds ameteurish. In my opinion Blackmore is just hands down better than Page as a guitarist.

Bob Daisley -- Bass
Cozy Powell -- Drums

I love Blackmore and Dio! \o/
Submitted by Anonimous
I do. Blackmore is for sure a very good guitarist, but as for live soloing the reality is no match for a legend, I'am afraid... This particular intro is good, I'd even say it's very good (I'am pretty sure I hear a hint of Malmsteen's "Black Star" in it...), but many of his live solos sound awful...
Submitted by Anonimous
The song is greensleeves.

,as said by metallica..
sad,
but true.
..
Guitarists rule the band, Better believe that.
Drummers work the band,
Singers Promote,
Bassers deepin (hence; deeeep purple..),
Keyboardees and pianists; bring a feeling of beethoven and newcorebeethoven.haha. As that is a feeling of its own.
Others bring new levels of music.
And change can be good, if not good enough.
But, yeah. I agree man, singer has the weakest link to the band.
I mean;
Who wants to be a promoter?..hm.
Submitted by Anonimous
If you like improvisation then Ritchie and co are the best
Submitted by Anonimous
Ricthie Blackmore's playing can move me to tears or give me an adrenalin rush! not many players move me like Ritchie. In my opinion Rainbow was one of the greatest rock bands EVER! Of course there are many more bands and musicians I love, but every time I hear Ritchie I will run to the speakers. I got to see him just before he retired from the limelight. and let me tell you being a guitarist myself for 30 years, Ritchie Blackmore put me in a spell-bound state that I never want out of!!!

The Ultimate RAINBOW line-up if it had existed would have been Ritchie Blackmore, Ronnie Dio, Roger Glover, Toney Carey or Don Airey, and Cozy Powell.

After 7 months i looked up at the video. Richies hand gesture at the end of the solo is like: "Ok. I finished. Now you can do what you want". I heard that he was big d.ick to the rest of the band but I love this guy. Part of the solo between
4:10 and
4:15 is my favourite. I know it's short and it's nothing but shit - shivers factory!

Ritchie is te ONLY guitarist/musician of any genre that makes me want to learn to play Classical, and that is extremely hard to do because Classical music of any kind BORES me to tears, how does he do it?
Ritchie is undoubtedly the most naturally gifted musicians in our time and still quite unterated, which makes us knowledgeable musicinas and/or fans more lucky, because we know how to appreciate great music :)
Top rating always :)
Submitted by Anonimous
Well, I mean. Is there a song where they play the whole melody. Just the melody, because this intro reminds me of some old song that I can't remebemer the name of. I wonder if there is like a song with just the melody and now singing and such? Thanks for answering!
Submitted by Anonimous
The original is still the best. On piano iI mean.

Cozy Powell is immense.
Submitted by Anonimous
I'm a huge Ritchie Blackmore fan and always imagined this song with me, crossbows, people wearing green colors (gotta check that) and swords, killing, slashing the other side,
and other general fun. Plus rug burns from the air guitar sessions...
Submitted by Anonimous
I beleive they're called fags lol
Submitted by Anonimous
Pretty much all the Steely Dan session guitar players I know alternate picked cleanly. As well as a whole lot of other rock session guys.
If you consider rockabilly in the rock category, then Elvis's guitar players or guys like Albert Lee were amazing alternate pickers.
Let's see who else: Phil Keaggy, Brian May *yes him*, Robert Fripp, Fred Frith...
And if you consider Mahavishnu John McLaughlin rock...well...then...yeah...no words needed.
But true; Jimmy Page is a shitty alternate picker.
Submitted by Anonimous
Blackmore was one of the fastest Player at this time and he's done a good job but he's an ignoramus. Since Morse play at Deep Purple they play songs they never could play, because Blackmore wouldn't do this...
Rainbow is a fantastic band, but blackmore changed the members all the time. At the end he changed bonnet to turner because turner was from america and bonnet not(he want to beak in a new market --> america). So sing together with dio: Kill the King ;)
Submitted by Anonimous

Yes indeedy. Heer Schenker is a fine, fine guitarist and as you rightly say, he is German.
When I look at the 11 bands I listed and all the different personnel those bands have had over the years it must be close on 100 people.
How many Germans are in that 100?
Submitted by Anonimous
Michael Schenker Group and Scorpions
Submitted by Anonimous
great song but WillieDines1 made it sound gay with his comment!

Great song, btw!! but by today's standard, since theres no satanic screaming, and no repetitive pounding E chords (max distortion, of course), and no half-naked bimbo who can moan into a mic., It just can't be appreciated. CURSE MODERN MUSIC. with a few exceptions.

didn`t you know? the electric guitar was built right after the pyramids, they where very big, and took four men to handle. the electricity it required was only aviable by lightning, and playing it killed many potential rock stars. because of the danger playing it it was rarely used, and is only mentioned on the fifth page of the bible (which was lost in editing in 1156).

Ritchie got lessons from Big Jim Sullivan.
So did Steve Howe.
Come to think of it - Jimmy Page learnt a lot from the man !
Big Jim also played on the only UK classical guitar hit single.
Bet you didn't know that !
Submitted by Anonimous
I wish I could figure out how he gets that doubling effect, at times it's like he's got a harmonizer.. but he got it back with Deep Purple too. On Highway Star it's pronounced, his solo sounds a lot like the Hammond.
Submitted by Anonimous
jimmy bain kicks ass i saw him play a couple days ago with the holly wood allstarz! even though he is like 60 he kicks ass!!!
Submitted by Anonimous
You misunderstand. Blackmore is my fave guitarist and dio is my fave singer. The point I was making was based on something someone said: 'Rainbow were before Priest by ten years'- this is not the case. Blackmore's rainbow was released late 75 and rising was released in 76. R B made 3 studio records- who do we think we are, burn and stormbringer (after '72's machine head) with Purple before he formed Rainbow. Yes Deep Purple pre-dated JP but Rainbow came a little later.

Ritchie didn't do drugs back then and of course not now that he's old. In fact almost no one in Deep Purple did drugs, apart from marijuana now and then. The only "junkie" members in Deep Purple were Glenn Hughes, who had a cocaine problem until the early 90s, and Tommy Bolin, who was a heroin addict and died from a multi-drug intoxication. What an untimely death, as Tommy was a REAL genius, like Blackmore, just different styles.

Exelente composicion.
Submitted by Anonimous
Correct me if I'm wrong here but "Green Sleaves" and "Scarborough Fair" were both written in a time where no one kept records of the original lyrics. And niether are certain. Killer Ritchie,I never knew he did this tune.

Everytime I hear this intro, I feel like I'm being taken back in time, to the period in which music like this was played in palaces and grand halls of stately homes and what I enjoy most is, that Ritchie has that delicate touch that really makes this music really stand as a testament of time :)
Another top rating performance by Ritchie, and a top rating for the video, which is also added to faves :)

Submitted by Anonimous
Ha, a soulmate. At Last!!
Submitted by Anonimous
Ritchie + Dio = .....no words...
Submitted by Anonimous
isn't this the gig from munich 1977?
Submitted by Anonimous
Hehe. One of the strangest and most irrelevant comments I have seen yet, anywhere. I suppose you personally know these people, though, which is the only way your emotional and overly personal diatribe would make sense. Anyway, back to the music we go!
Submitted by Anonimous
Actually, Judas Priest pre-dated Rainbow by about 2 years. Priest's first album was released in '74: rocka rolla it was called. Rainbow's first record was either late '75 or '76.
Submitted by Anonimous
This is just wonderful. This entire concert - and many other from the era - is also wonderful. All the improvisation going on really adds to the impression (as opposed to nowadays when most artists tend to just play the studio versions of their songs live, without daring to twist them a little bit).
Submitted by Anonimous
i fuckin love it!

Blackmore is, indeed, the greatest guitarist of all time. Live, however, he was very patchy. He seemed to get bored quite easily by his songs. The guitar solo on "Strange Kinda Woman" will always inspire. Clean picking, wonderful note choice and occasional surprises that leave you breathless. He even left in a bum note on that particular solo because it somehow didn`t matter.
Submitted by Anonimous
This melody that this guy is playing at the beginning (the intro). Where does that Melody come from? I just LOVE it!! Please, reply if you guys know where it's from.
Submitted by Anonimous
he was high most of the time......as well as rest of the band as a matter of facts...... just a comon thing to be high in the 70s as part of the rock n roll culture although it's not good to be taking drugs or anything like it (I've been a metalhead since I was 13 years old, now I'm 47 and I do not do drugs) or alcohol or anything like that.........if I want to get really high I just rock and the music does the rest taking me to the sky......without limits...rock and roll is pure energy.
Submitted by Anonimous
Ritchie IS the man. been watching that due for over 30 years; still awesome
Submitted by Anonimous
there's just one thing that bothers me... why rainbow never gave ronnie a sword during shows, that would have been bloody good!
Submitted by Anonimous
idk for dio hes on par with blackmore in terms of importance for sure :P
Submitted by Anonimous
lol
Submitted by Anonimous
Ritchie Blackmore it's a GOD!!!

it just shows how good this music is that we are still playing and listening to it.
Submitted by Anonimous
A new Rainbow yeah, but the truth Rainbow will always be Gates Of Babylon, Long Live Rainbow!
Submitted by Anonimous
I dont agree, Before this line-up there was Jimmy Bain on Bass and Tony Carey on Keyboards. It was this line-up who recorded 'Rainbow Rising' I saw both line-ups live and although both were amazing Bain and Carey win it for me!!
Submitted by Anonimous

One of the best Rainbow songs. Awesome performance by Dio and the band.
Submitted by Anonimous
ronnie james dio has (had) a very good voice. too bad he is so cheesy live.
Submitted by Anonimous
but the line up is blackmore , dio powell , carey and bain not daisley and stone this was later ;) ive got the album "on stage" in munich and in the booklett you can look it up ;)
Submitted by Anonimous
awesome german classic music.
Nothing beats Bach,Beethoven and Mozart.best music ever written and richtie knows this as well.
Submitted by Anonimous
Who's Not!
Submitted by Anonimous
This is fantastic! Dio sure does know how to project his voice on stage. Five stars man!
Submitted by Anonimous
You, are a douche without imagination.
Submitted by Anonimous
with his fingers?
Submitted by Anonimous
Oh come on, have a sense of humor. Richie is on of the greatest guitarist ever.
Submitted by Anonimous
Ritchie is so tallented guy :)And Dio's voice is immortal.
Submitted by Anonimous
Gods Times!!!!!!The Best Formation of Rainbow!!!
Brazil!!!
Submitted by Anonimous
This is just an example. I'm not a heavy Blackmore-listener, but from what I have seen I'm quite sure I can tell, that Ritchie is not in the shape he was in with Rainbow... But maybe he's simply getting old.
Submitted by Anonimous
lo que pasa es que lo admiran, ¿por que crees que tienen una strat color crema?
Submitted by Anonimous
cozy powell is a amazing drummer but i hated him in sabbath except for one exception, when he helped make the dehumanizer demo's with ronnie dio and tony iommi, dio is kickass and ritchie is a amazing guitar player, such melody, makes me wish i could play guitar like tony iommi from sabbath and ritchie combined, SO HEAVY but filled with blues and classical melody, long live sabbath and purple, and rainbow, long live dio, tony iommi and ritchie
Submitted by Anonimous
Blackmore wrote this 300 years ago When he was a wandering minstrel in medievel England
Submitted by Anonimous
First time i saw this video ,I was like whos that girl on the organ lol.
Submitted by Anonimous
joshyman12312 Since they were considered musicians?! hows that? People often forget that the word "Musicians" comes from the word "music." I forgive ya. Like there arent enough of them running around today anyway, god!
Submitted by Anonimous
Fantastic! Always prefered Deep Purple/Rainbow to most other "metal" from the day- except Maiden of course!
Submitted by Anonimous
why i cant tell anything i want ? this is a public place!
Submitted by Anonimous
Que?
Submitted by Anonimous
Maybe you mean you can hear a hint of this in Black Star..as this was recorded in 1977..where was Malmsteen then ?
Submitted by Anonimous
I should say Led zep wrote better songs that Purple, but not really sure who is a better song writer page or blackmore.
I do know that Blackmore plays better than Page and all of his contemporaries for that matter.
Submitted by Anonimous
long live Ronnie James Dio
Submitted by Anonimous
He studied that at twelve..
Submitted by Anonimous
If that was sixteenth century Greensleeves. I didnt know they have electric guitar in the sixteenth century and rock out.
Submitted by Anonimous
RIP Cozy :(
Submitted by Anonimous
The song YEARS later was tuned into "What Child is This"......(the Christmas Carol)
Submitted by Anonimous
Rainbow !!!! Kill the King !!!! Blackmore- true genius
Submitted by Anonimous
you cant compare page and blackmore both of them have completely different styles that make them great guitarists. Page's guitar playing is a little more bluesy and blacmore is a little more classical
Submitted by Anonimous
STEVE HOWE RULES!!!
Submitted by Anonimous
Richie is a true minstrel!

Ritchie Blackmore is definitely one of my favourite guitar players together with some more classical educated guitar players such as Julian Bream and my favourite classical guitarist, the sadly departed Narciso Yepes.
Submitted by Anonimous
Hi Charm91 !!! This version of 16th Century Greensleeves is perfect ! Here we have the best Rainbow's line up ever : Dio, Blackmore, Daisley, Powell (RIP Cozy) and Stone. What a wonderful rythm (especially from
6:08 to
6:40) and sound !! Many Many thanks for posting this video. Cheeers !!

Submitted by Anonimous
Car crash :(
Submitted by Anonimous
holy fucking crown epic glory
Submitted by Anonimous
fine!!! great piece the best of the music
Submitted by Anonimous
Blackmore's second solo has to be among his very best played on stage - as good as, if not better than his solo in Child In Time on Made in Japan. Such incredible fluidity and passion...wow, he is the best ever.
Submitted by Anonimous
Ronnie wearing bluejeans...lawl
: D
Submitted by Anonimous
ha-he was one of the first rock guitarists to alternate pick fast and cleanly. Just compare the solo on led zeppelin's heartbreaker to his solo on deep purple's highway star.
Submitted by Anonimous
Page is maybe a bit better to play guitar?? No way dude!! =)
Submitted by Anonimous
Perfect. : )
Can't get tired of watching this one...
(please, take a look at Blackmore at 5:50 =p)
Submitted by Anonimous
that is a pretty good list, though I think Ozzy kinda ruins it, and Dio is too high. I'm going to surprise some people and throw in some soul singers
1. Freddie Mercury
2. Robert Plant
3. Jeff Buckley
4. Jackie Wilson
5. Chris Cornell
6. Sam Cooke
Gillan is probably tip ten, and Gillan is close too.
Submitted by Anonimous
Totally agree with you Beast! To be honest I like Jimmy, but Blackmore has more soul than any other living guitarists... doesn't matter which genre they play!
Submitted by Anonimous
seriosuly wtf are you babbling about
Submitted by Anonimous
ma ne napadam ga...nego ga malo spustam na zemlju :D...bolje sad nego poslje...poslje ce bit teze...a i slazem se odlicna pjesma...Blackmore Bog...a dio....ma perfekcija
Submitted by Anonimous
Malmsteen is my hero, but i noticed that he can never be as good as Blackmore, yeah Malmsteen got the speed and the classical phrasing but Blackmore is more classical than him
Submitted by Anonimous
AH right cheers mate, much appreciated
Submitted by Anonimous
DAmn LOL!!!!
I know what he said damnit, you cant read?!
He said: rainbow bu işi gerçekten çok iyi biliyo
Meaning: Rainbow bi is gaycekten cock i billie
meaning his Rainbow is bi, gay at ten, with a cock in his billie =D
Submitted by Anonimous
dio and blackmore pure magical.

Submitted by Anonimous
"lead me when the sun is in the western skies" so beautiful <3
Submitted by Anonimous
That What makes Blackmore the greatest alive, his mix of Rock n Roll with his Classical training. Wen i hear him i wanna cry :-)
Submitted by Anonimous
Is this a question?
Submitted by Anonimous
All 3
Submitted by Anonimous
Why were David Stones Keyboards so low in the mix?
Submitted by Anonimous
Dio sings just right
Submitted by Anonimous
I agree. Comparing Blackmore with Morse is like comparing a tiger to a cat.
Submitted by Anonimous
yes, THE ONE.
Submitted by Anonimous
this song was around during Shakespeares time as he is quote saying in one of his plays "Let the sky rain potatoes! Let it thunder to the tune of 'Greensleeves'! which was written in 1602 a whole 100 years before said blackmore
Submitted by Anonimous
Yes I heard of the story about Ritchie going to Jail. Your right he didn't look that bothered by it during the concert and the fact that he made it there as fast as he could. The man in black rocks.
Submitted by Anonimous
???????????
Submitted by Anonimous
relax he is one of the best like hendrix page may and others (i like and murray from iron maiden but maybe you dont)
Submitted by Anonimous
Well I did say " Allegedly ".
Submitted by Anonimous
This is god playing.
Submitted by Anonimous
Wow! Simply amazing.
Submitted by Anonimous
They recorded a show from the Straight Beetween the Eyes tour (Live Beetween the Eyes) and their last concert with Joe Lynn Turner was also filmed, being released as Live at Budokan.
Submitted by Anonimous
what a stupid and pathetic comment...get out of nappies... and dont bother with the usual reply as your arrogant or you dont know the music...
Submitted by Anonimous
you are watching the shirt? omfg just listen to this amazing magic sound from Blackmore's guitar \,,/
Submitted by Anonimous
he was a pretty awesome guitarist...but ritchie blackmore was an asshole to the bone. he was such a showboater, and he thought he deserved better treatment than the rest of deep purple, rainbow (formerly Elf) and every band he's been in. thats why hes had so many bands. everybody who's ever worked with him knows hes a prick.
Submitted by Anonimous
riffs from classic music provide colurness to rocknroll, and ritchie is the best of it,but as other ,jimmy used hint-arabic riff
Submitted by Anonimous
Whit th' buck? ur these troaps gonnae efter th' pick ay destiny?
Submitted by Anonimous
alot of people left because the show didn't start until midnight because ritchie blackmore was arrested in austria a few night before and was late getting to this show
Submitted by Anonimous
I was there too draccyman, with my brother..not as close as you though.
Submitted by Anonimous
I'm 21 and almost none of my friends listen to this kinda rock music. Yet this is classical!

Submitted by Anonimous
blackmore at his best
Submitted by Anonimous
Rainbow is Rising!
Submitted by Anonimous
I like Deep Purple until Gilian starts singing. God i hate his vocal. He ruined excellent Iommis' riffs on Born Again with his scratching vocal like monkey in a cage and I won't forget it:). Weakest link in Deep Purple for me. Sorry.
Submitted by Anonimous
Richie is the best, hands down! No doubt about it. I have many groups I love but, you just can't top Richie in my humble opinion.
Submitted by Anonimous
Hope I will. I would love to have a little chat there with Gillian.
Submitted by Anonimous
Best Rainbow line up, 100 % sure !
Submitted by Anonimous
Ronnie James Dio
Submitted by Anonimous
Rainbows early lineup was history in the making, fucking awesome !
Submitted by Anonimous
Malmsteen es el Hijo de Blackmore...
Ritchie B. Rules!!!
Submitted by Anonimous
Ritchies guitar-sound is obviously unique. This fact suffices to argue that hes better than Page. Pages sound, compared to Blackmores, is like ear cancer. But i dont want to to say that Page sucks, cause Im a big fan of him!
Submitted by Anonimous
Have to disagree there. UK is the king of metal and lots of other styles too. Other countries just copy.
Submitted by Anonimous
70's was the golden age of Ronnie James Dio and Rainbow. <3 Best Rainbow lineup.
Submitted by Anonimous
Cheers sire
Submitted by Anonimous
then you agree that blackmore is better
Submitted by Anonimous
they both are gods
Submitted by Anonimous
I love in hte start during the intro, the finger to the lips to quieten everyone down
Submitted by Anonimous
love this its just so chilling, richie must have been so high wen he wrote this
Submitted by Anonimous
This is some good stuff. I dig it.
Submitted by Anonimous
I mean all of you, even the wizards that try to impress with their lack of truth in their little tales. go to bed.
Submitted by Anonimous
omg blackmore is sexy as hell
Submitted by Anonimous
Brilliant!
Submitted by Anonimous
well, after wath I have heard this is a greensleve song from the 16th century. This is actually from the 16th century too, and if you like it, Bob Dylan sings and play the whole song with vocals too, i think.
Submitted by Anonimous
ummm ronnie still HAS his voice you dousche...
Submitted by Anonimous
Yes. The amps were powered by fermented potato juice!
Submitted by Anonimous
Want to know something pretty cool? Find out where this album was recorded.
Submitted by Anonimous
In the 50s and 60s all the great music being recorded by the blacks were kept underground, and the racial tensions and fears kept alot of kids from ever hearing alot of it.When the Stones, Small Faces,Cream etc. finally did their own thing with these songs,it was an eye opener for alot of artists /fans.Thank God for the blues, and for the English rockers who saw past the racial divide and gave us good Rock and roll.
Submitted by Anonimous
Ronnie James Dio is the best rock singer.
Submitted by Anonimous
that's true he modified a Marshall 100 watts amp to make it the monster that he uses that give about 200 watts and that characteristic tone of Ritchie
Submitted by Anonimous
You prick
Submitted by Anonimous
mas rapida...pero jamas sera tan bueno como Maestro Ritchie
Submitted by Anonimous
what?
Submitted by Anonimous
Hey, menatol, have you ever heard about thing which is called JOKE. You don't have ANY sense of humour.
Submitted by Anonimous
Guitar legend. Blackmore, Hackett, Gilmour, Howe and Morse my top 5.
Submitted by Anonimous
Very true, I met Ritchie at a Blackmore's Night show last year. Seeing him play from five feet away proves your statement well. He is an amazing talent. None better.
Submitted by Anonimous
Nah he modded it from 200 to about 278. He uses marshall majors, which are 200 watts standard.
Submitted by Anonimous
Ritchie is great, i love him playing :)
Submitted by Anonimous
ITS BLACKADDER PLAYING GUITAR!!
Submitted by Anonimous
rainbow ares imply the bEST BAND EVER.
what a brilliant rendition here.
Submitted by Anonimous
I think that tape recorder is Blackmore's pre amp. I vaguely remember reading somewhere that he built it himself.
Submitted by Anonimous
greatest guitar player of the 70's- genius
Submitted by Anonimous
always miss you.....
Submitted by Anonimous
What other century was Greensleeves written in?
Submitted by Anonimous
Blackmore = god.
Submitted by Anonimous
Amazing musician... But I must say, he looks like Rowan Atkinson....
Submitted by Anonimous
well Since you've been gone is still a good song even though its pop! But ye, can't beat the Dio line up
Submitted by Anonimous
LONG LIVE RITCHIE
DIE STEVE MORSE
Submitted by Anonimous
go to ultimateguitar (dot) com and search for greensleeves..its not ritchie's version but it sounds the same, almost..its without the touch of genius that blackmore gives it
Submitted by Anonimous
Ah yes, fine German rock bands. But are they up there with Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Uriah heep, Jethro Tull, Wishbone Ash, Led Zeppelin, Rainbow, UFO, Yes, King Crimson, etc?
Submitted by Anonimous
dio was terrible at manchester last year...
Submitted by Anonimous
Love the performance
Submitted by Anonimous
It ain't French. Its English. It has the same name with the video. Greensleeves
Submitted by Anonimous
"are they up there with UFO?"
U do realize Michael Shenker was in UFO?
At that time he spoke no english, yet wrote a large portion of the music, so i'd say UFO is at least part German. :)
Submitted by Anonimous
no, THE BEST
Submitted by Anonimous
Sixteenth Century Greensleeves
Tarot Woman
Gates Of Babylon
Lost In Hollywood
Can't Happen Here
Ritchie!!! honorable mention to Dio!!!
Submitted by Anonimous
And by the way, the song goes very much faster than on the album from 75'.
Submitted by Anonimous
ritchie really captures the medieval classic note in his playing. he sounds very much like a lute player at the royal court before turning on the hard rock engine. GREAT GREAT GUITAR!!!!!!!
Submitted by Anonimous
Huge !!! Huge !!! Huge !! Go Blackmore, Dio, Powell & Daisley !!
Submitted by Anonimous
and bach didnt play this kind of music... he played baroque
Submitted by Anonimous
What about Graham Bonnet ?
Submitted by Anonimous
what du you mean by cheesy live? :-)
Submitted by Anonimous
I've read it too, very interesting book.
Submitted by Anonimous
Thanks draccyman and fleajr 1412-I was wondering
if i was the only the rockist to double as a
Classicist,as it were...It's one of the
Brandenbergische konzerte,not Haendel...guess
Henry was a bit of a renaissance genius,too..Never
Knew'Past time with good friends'was ascribed to him, also.
Submitted by Anonimous
I play bass in a rock band and Trombone in a brass band, would that count?
Submitted by Anonimous
nice too see this guy playing like this. Im only familiar with his balls to the wall style.
Submitted by Anonimous
hell yeah its classical
Submitted by Anonimous
to sontam99: Ritchie pre-dated and added more to neoclassical guitar than Steve Howe's relatively uninspired noodling. Ritchie has come up with memorable riffs and solos, seamlessly incorporating classical(and other)influences into a popular musical format - Hard Rock. Steve Howe(and Yes)often sounded directionless. Who do you think Malmsteen, Rhoads and EVH sounded more like? As for Uli, well he came after both of them, but Uli>Steve. Uli and Ritchie actually sound cool, thats important.
Submitted by Anonimous
The best of times!!!
Submitted by Anonimous
Estoy de acuerdo. Malmsteen es la copia mas rapida de Blackmore
Submitted by Anonimous
true. I really didnt take the "music" part into account. Im all about the naked bibos lol
Submitted by Anonimous
dio = legend
Submitted by Anonimous
Richie is a tool, RJD RULES!
Submitted by Anonimous
Nobody sounds better than Blackmore!
Even if you hate him you have to love him. I don`t know who the best gutarist is or if there is such a thing. Ritchie sounds the best of anyone I ever heard. Right tone right style perfect.
Submitted by Anonimous
Can you buy this DVD? and where if u can!? i want it!
Submitted by Anonimous
which song is it (the classical one)???
Submitted by Anonimous

Submitted by Anonimous

Submitted by Anonimous
they are same but ritchie oesn't want to play anything other than rock.but page played many genres.thats why people said page is better.but if page played only rock.people would say that blackmore is better
Submitted by Anonimous
haha i loeve it bout 30 seconds in he puts his finger agaisnt hte lips as to tell the crowd to be quiet.
my dad loves ritchie blackmore. im' so glad his got me into him as well.
Submitted by Anonimous
Ritchie is easily the best ever !!!!!! man is this incredible
Submitted by Anonimous
he plays Greensleeves real cool and smooth
Submitted by Anonimous
I think this was the best period for Rainbow. They had Dio in the band and their sound was good. They played some nice heavy rock and didn't overkill the keyboards, but that is not to say I don't keyboards. I think Rainbow got bad pretty fast after Dio left. Joe Lynn Turner is a rubbish singer and I'm not fond of Graham Bonnet at all. I think Blackmore needs to learn how to keep a steady line up because if Rainbow kept on with Dio, there would have been such killer music being made.
Submitted by Anonimous
lol
Submitted by Anonimous
malmsteen in slow version..amazing..
Submitted by Anonimous
The better version of Deep Purple
Submitted by Anonimous
greensleeves
Submitted by Anonimous
Hmm!
Blackmore is actually alternate picking CLEANLY in this video. He's usually extremely sloppy and hidden under all that distortion. Kudos Blackers!
Submitted by Anonimous
thanks, I found the cd :).
Submitted by Anonimous
Great band!!!All time favourite :D:D
Submitted by Anonimous
Actually, don't watch at all....the real test of any band is to just close your eyes & listen....
Submitted by Anonimous
What's the piece from
1:23 to
1:48?
Submitted by Anonimous
it's "greensleeves", a famous piece written perhaps by henry viii, the king of england.
Submitted by Anonimous
And now we have Justin Timberfag. Entropy has devoured music in America and left us with the darkest abyss.
Submitted by Anonimous
Allegedly !!
Submitted by Anonimous
No. nobody cuoldn't....W blackmore
Submitted by Anonimous
ok yes you're right... just listen \,,/
Submitted by Anonimous
In the introduction, while playing greensleeves, Ritchie inserts the Brandenburg Concerto #3, which is indeed BACH.
Submitted by Anonimous
ehh..ritchie plays renessaince music now? He is also one of the best blues players in the world! I've heard him play jazz as well, so he is a real virtuoso
Submitted by Anonimous
lol is my steed ready ? i feel a joust coming on
Submitted by Anonimous
Never! Not in Rainbow neither in Michael Shenker Group
Submitted by Anonimous
cool this is the best song on that rainbow album
Submitted by Anonimous
i hate people who compare great guitarists, dont mess with my Jimmy Page o.0
or Richie in the,its who you like more
Submitted by Anonimous
How hard those rock riffs on Blackmore playing? it doesn't get any better than this!!
he is genious,,he is god,, if he is arrogant so what! If you truly pay attention to his guitar you will realise that he is musician rather than gutarist, I sometimes think that some point guitar becames too small for him,,he is the ONLY musician that plays guitar with feeling, and thankfully he chose Hard Rock,,,I think he is a gift from god to Rock music world, i love you Ritchie...
Submitted by Anonimous
i also bought it.
good koncert. and im impressed that richie isn't in a bad mood. afterall he came straight from jail to this gig.:P
you heard the story?
