Yes, but when a Pole wants to learn Russian it is VERY hard. Different letters, different grammar, some ancient sounds, funny vocabulary.
e.g. in Polish 'huge stone' is a "głaz" (gwass) simmilar to Russian 'eye'. That's why I laugh when ViaGra sings "Nye celuj myenya w glaza";)
