I'm wondering: is this because Grishko ruined his voice and is unable to sing without a mike now? I own his CD's with Russian tenor arias (Naxos label) and they are just fantastic!! He sings with so much expression and 'soul' in those recordings! I've been a real fan for many years. Too bad all that is lost in these... well... products. :S
Grishko has been a leading star at the MET as well as in many other opera houses in the States and in Europe.

What is it? Shame and terrible
